B&O signal for CG Tower

Another long-gone "sentinel" at Lancaster Rd. near Schooley, Ohio on the Parkersburg Sub. This was facing westbounds just a few miles east of Chillicothe. The new US35 passes near here but the trailer trains no longer do so. The track now ends near here at a customer's spur.

Sad. You can see what's left of the other track buried in the pavement...

I miss the trailers too and 88. N omore grain trains either. Randy on the eastern end of the Parkersburg sub.

Yes- those grain trains seemed to be numerous in the early to mid 80's.
