I don't sure know. I solid color paint job was an economy move. number one looks to be a fresh paint job, and Marty's undoubtedly correct that it was an economy measure. The last shot is also interesting. This was clearly shot at the West Milwaukee Shops. Notice next to the right side number board the sheet metal damage. The unit obviously sideswiped something. What the object is above the cab I have no clue, although it looks to be a horn and not a light. The Mars lights on the freight engines were blanked out by the 70's. Nick Tharalson, Marion, IA |
