These photos are the last 3 from a trip to Barstow and Ludlow and a little beyond in February 1988. I stopped at Yermo when returning home and followed 3622 west to Daggett. SD40-2's got minimal respect then due to them being so plentiful.

1. A very clean UP 3622W getting a new crew at Yermo, CA
2. 3622 approaching the junction with the ATSF main line at Daggett, CA. UP 3622 W. will be on Santa Fe Rails until Riverside, CA
3. UP 3583 W. at the Daggett connection with the ATSF. Units 2 and 3 are C-36-7's. This UP line from Daggett to Yermo is now double track.

Three really nice images. Love how UP just painted over the class lights on the 3622; Athearn really was correct in doing so on their blue box models! :-)
