Last days of steam and early diesels I might be in heaven. Although since I'm a bicentennial nut 1976 might give it a run for the money. Kris Date: 11/23/14 10:45 Re: Sherman Hill 1956 Author: Auburn_Ed Which and when were the Challengers converted to oil?

I believe that's a Denver-bound train, on the EB main just west of the former Hermosa Jct. The Denver-Laramie trains often used 5000s at that time and it was common to double-head back from Laramie to Denver because of power imbalances & to get those engines back home. checking his side of the Locomotive. Classic Picture! Date: 11/23/14 13:34 Re: Sherman Hill 1956 Author: Margaret_SP_fan VERY nice photos, sir! Thank you very much.
