I make it a point to visit the IGN MP RR station on Commerce and Medina streets in San Antonio Texas because it's a gem of a renovated and historical railroad station. Although this station doesn't serve trains anymore the tracks behind it which once handled the Texas Eagle and Aztec Eagle of the MP are present handling UP freights. On occasion Amtrak's Texas Eagle can be seen passing by to and from Sunset Station. This visit I was able to go inside the lobby, something I haven't done since 1969.
