Southern Railway SW1500s on a Transfer Run

Two Southern Railway SW1500s making a transfer run in Knoxville, TN on May 23, 1987. (I think they were still lettered Southern and not NS. They kept the same numbers after the takeover.) Looks like the summer heat and humidity had already settled in.
