Some N&W GP9s
Author: MartyBernard

I posted N&W GP9s with steam boilers for passenger service the other day. Here are some without steam boilers and N&W had almost 300 of them.

1. NW 748 at Hagerstown, MD on December 29, 1970

2. NW 781 with GP18 944 at Crewe, VA on January 4, 1969.

3. NW 802 with C630 1131 at Crewe, VA on January 4, 1969.

Thanks for the excellent images.

I see the passenger GP9s had the additional air tank tucked between the fuel tank and the main frame in your earlier views. Did only GP7's have torpedo tubes on the roof then?
