The first one is at the end of the branch with the depot and MTCs at the very end and the second between San Jacinto and Hemet heading back towards San Bernardino.The date is July 14,1988 and there was still a far amount of traffic on the branch beyond Ethanac and the track speed was 40 mph in places.Bill Webb

Before he passed on, I had some interesting discussions with Bill Farmer about his slide collection. He said he took some photos of those excursions that Pacific Railroad Society used to run to Hemet for the Ramona Pageant. When he was a student at UCR, he took some shots of red and silver warbonnet F units charging up Box Springs grade. His slide collection is part of the PRS library in San Dimas. Yes, Bill Farmer was at UCR at the time and took photo's of the train. |
