3)Missouri Pacific Eagle at St. Louis, July 1985. Three More Pictures Posted Below................... Date: 12/18/14 06:57 Re: MOP Business cars Author: SP8595 All three pictures taken at St. Louis in July of 1985. I guess that once the cars were repainted yellow, they traded their numbers for names?

MP 10 is/was at the Sacramento Rail Museum, MP 1 sold to a person in in the Tulsa area, but I am not sure of this, MP 3 was the WP's Feather River and is now the UP's Selma.

The train left and at the Grand Ave plant, about a mile from Union Station it derailed. The train cut away and he was left there with the car waiting for the car toads. What a bummer! Made the yellow a little more palatable.

Actually, it was sold to the Dakota Minnesota and Eastern. It was lettered for them and named the "Pioneer". It was used by them to entertain guests, politicians and influential citizens during the quest for approval and funding of the "coal project". It was relettered to the ICE after that purchase, when ICE became the golden child of the Schieffer administration. Date: 12/18/14 18:08 Re: MOP Business cars Author: SCKP187 Very classy photos. Never got to see enough of the solid blue cars myself. Thanks for showing these both before and after shots.
