Nostalgia & History > Winter Arrives at Black Butte, CADate: 12/18/14 09:17 Winter Arrives at Black Butte, CA Author: king86 The first snow of the season is falling at Black Butte, CA as two "new" SD70's lead an EB toward Klamath Falls. I'm not sure the year I took these, but I remember the old steam water spout was still standing then. The parked cars were for the old Siskiyou Line, which is north (SP east) of where I'm standing. I always thought the SD70's looked the best in the SP paint.

The 2 bay hoppers on the siding must put a date on it somehow. The water plug was taken out by a derailment but I don't have the date, it is in the TO archives somewhere.
