Love that second shot. The Conrail blue looks great against the snow.

But it must have been a chore to step over that little snow bank and onto the train...

the reason for this train running the Main Line was the Aramingo TV ramp off of Frankfort Jct at Shore ... this train also forwarded livestock amd hogs to Cross Bros Meats that also got set off at Shore ...

What route would the TV train take through Zoo? NY-Pitt Subway or the back track around the tower, if there was one?

Dale, equally interesting is that both TV trains have ex-Reading units trailing. First train has an ex-RDG SD45 (CR 6101)and the second train has an ex-RDG GP40-2 (can decipher the inverted yellow chevron striping on the rear of the unit).

NY-PITT Subway was limited with it being wired and was passenger only ... the Camden bound freight trains to from NJ via Shore and this TV train took a route through Overbrook that lined onto #3 track and it either went down onto 14 or 15 running to 52nd St yard ... once at 52nd St
there were 3 electirfied bypass tracks that ran on the north side of the yard ...

once east of the yard the trains hopped onto 11 running which connected to the EJ (Eastward Jersey) basically taking the same route as the NY-PITT Subway but above ground ... the EJ connected to #3 and #2 Berry tracks in the Girard section (right over Girard Ave) of Zoo interlocking a few hundred feet east of the NY-PITT Subway switch which connected to 3 Berry in front of Zoo tower ... a slip switch on #3 track at Girard allowed trains to be routed off the EJ and routed onto #2 track and vice versa ... a crossover at 33rd St (Zoo) allowed routing to #1 track ... #2 track was the only track between Zoo and North Philadelphia that TV trains running in either direction could use due to being lowered for clearance ...

eb manifest trains would use #2,#1 tracks or the Zoo Siding between Zoo and North Philadelphia ... at North Philadelphia the manifest trains would usually be routed onto the "0" "ought" track to Shore so they could work Frankford Jct at Shore without inteferring with eb passenger trains ...

there was easy open access to the platform near the bldg and the passengers just walked along the platform ...

Awesome shots! Anything else along the line like say Villanova, Radnor, or Rosemont? Thanks!
