A few Altamont Pass

All from 1986. Photo #1: The LW51 Stockton-San Jose local crosses the bridge at the west end of the Pass, June 23, '86. Photo #2: the same train, this time with 3 ex-WP GP35s for power, at the summit, 3 weeks later (July 12). Photo #3: the AAR Special heading west to the Bay Area, August 2, 1986.

Nice shots Eric. I was there for the CNW special also, over at the summit siding.

That C&NW shot is beautiful! All are nice but the C&NW one really stands out. Great shots!
