Vacation 1993
Author: biff

In July 1993 we took a trip to Wisconsin to visit relatives, along the way we stopped at Porter Indiana. Porter was a very busy and interesting place, between Friday afternoon/evening and Saturday morning we spent a total of 10 1/4 hours trackside. In that timeframe there were 47 trains from Conrail, CSX, CP and Amtrak. Along with that there was plenty of run through power on Conrail. Here's some of what was seen.

Great stuff. biff, and some great catches, particularly that rebuilt BN
SD7/9. And you got the semaphore dropping on the CSX line. Great job on
that. And if anyone wonders why CSX got away from their "stealth grey"
paint scheme, that last train should answer that question.

Thanks for posting.

Awesome scenes! Amazing that the BN SD-9 is running! Also you can see those small strobe lights on the BN SD40-2 that is leading. That CSX GP-30 slug in the "gray ghost" scheme is also a nice catch.
