It is the mid 1970s in Northern Maine as a southbound Bangor and Aroostook freight crests the grade just south of Oakfield Yard on its way to the paper mills in Millinocket and the Maine Central interchange at Northern Maine Junction.

Love that troop sleeper cum B/W caboose! Was there about the same time, and darn if I could find a BL2 or F3. Great photos!

Wood chips taste about the same as frozen french fries.
