C&S @ Denver w/7 SD'9's, 3 schemes - 1971

A 7 unit mix in Denver with post-merger greenies, but still with well represented with two pre-merger paint schemes Took this on on May 31, 1971.

I can remember that area from my youth. The Burlington locomotive shops was a little further north. That area was once a labyrinth of tracks. I think the C&S used this line to access the old Globe Smelter.

Wow, today you would be looking at the middle of the Rennix intermodal yard. The Utah Jct. crossing with the Rio Grande beltline is on your right, with the D&RGW North Yard in the background, and the picture was probably taken from the Rubberoid Lead. Fantastic shot.
