Photo 25. After waiting 3 hours on a hillside in Rosalia, Washington here comes an westbound over a very unique concrete bridge that still stands today but without rails or even a railroad.

Photo 26. Photo taken by Chuck Heimerdinger who came up here to Dawson, Montana from sunny California back in the 1960s. The formatting on this photo is terrific showing the 2 kinds of electric locomotives they were running back in the good old days.

Photo 27. This location was Deer Lodge, Montana-- a busy spot for the railroad back in the day.

Photo 28. . Leon Callaway from California came up here to see the final days of Milwaukee Road electric operations. The date is May 15th, 1974 and the power will be shut off in exactly one month.

Photo 29. Here we see Milwaukee Road electric motors E-30 and E-47 hauling freights out of Cedar Falls, Washington. This Fred Matthews photo was taken in 1958.

Wish the other RR's could use the MILW right-of-way in some manner, given some capacity restraints we read about on TO.

Gorgeous photos.

Photo 27 is at Tacoma, not Deer Lodge.

The shot at Rosalia was taken by Jerry Quinn.

Best regards,

Hey Rob-- I say you're incorrect about Photp # 27. Infact, to quote the gentleman in that photo wearing the white pants:
"I don't remember who shot this photo but it wasn't me because I am in the shot with my pretty white pants in a railroad yard! The place was Deer Lodge, Montana a busy spot for the railroad back in the day."

What say thou, Rob ?
