Warbonnets with fresh paint
Author: dlbowen

I know that 1 and 2 are reposts but I just rescanned them (6X7 negatives) with the opticfilm 120 and vuescan software, a great combo IMHO.

1. ATSF 112 W. at Caliente, CA 11-11-90
2. ATSF 525 E. at the MP 377 signal bridge 11-11-90
3. ATSF 150 E. Pond, CA 01-1991

A great period of time for railfanning that ended way too fast. Great photos!(sniff, sniff)

Well if anyone was wondering how number boards work or what is inside the 150 just answered their questions. Very nice photos, an era that was gone all too soon.

Really neat stuff, Don. In pic 1, that sure is a short hotshot; usually you would see trains wrapped around that curve to the right of the picture.
