Nostalgia & History > WP Car Ferry, 1970's, and the 608Date: 03/05/15 06:36 WP Car Ferry, 1970's, and the 608 Author: drumwrencher Thanks to trainjunkie, I now know this is WP's car ferry Las Plumas. Thanks, my friend!
First pic, WP MW "idler flat" #59. Don't know if the skirt is raising or lowering. Second, ol' JR looks like he braved the wrath of a curt "Get the hell outta here" and stepped up for a closeup of her deck. (you KNOW I've been yelled at before) Last, WP switcher 608 working, I assume, somewhere near the dock. Looks like the East Bay hills behind her, so I figure she's in SF... Any additional info, corrections, etc., would be most appreciated. Thanks Walter Sanfranciscotrains.org Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 03/05/15 07:35 by drumwrencher.
