Nostalgia & History > In honor of DFW's historic snowfallDate: 03/05/15 10:49 In honor of DFW's historic snowfall Author: BNSFDS Here's a short video I found in my collection I shot after an overnight snow of CSX train Q353 (a.k.a. the Bomber) passing through the small village of Harmony, Pennsylvania on what is now the B&P line between Eideneau and New Castle (formerly the P&W Subdivision).

I believe DFW Airport either got to, or did break the one day snowfall record for that date. They work at Connellsville, Glenwood (Pittsburgh), New Castle, Youngstown, Lordstown, Newton Falls, and Sterling. If I got called for that train out of New Castle, I'd plan for a full 12 hour day and only make it halfway to Willard. It was the train no one wanted to work. BNSFDS Posted from iPhone |
