I can recall seeing an Alco 636 demonstrator at GN Klamath Falls in 1969.

Does anyone know how long these locomotives, the demonstrators, stayed in service on the SP&S?

Road Numbers 330-335,and 340-343, built 1967-1968. I will keep checking to see if they migrated to the BN after the merger.

Became BN 4360-4369, all were retired and Scrapped in 1980.

Jim;

The demonstrators toured all over the west, but I don't believe they were on the SP&S for more than a few weeks. They toured the WP either right before or right after their stint on the SP&S.
