Nostalgia & History > ICG Ballast Cleaning in Peotone An Evening in 1977Date: 03/05/15 17:01 ICG Ballast Cleaning in Peotone An Evening in 1977 Author: MartyBernard Driving home one evening I spot the ICG doing some ballast cleaning near Peotone, Illinois. It's August 1, 1977. The air is clear so the sunset is poor and the sun has set anyway. I'm pretty far away on the east side of the tracks and can't get to the other side which is a farmer's field. I hope Kodachrome won't let me down. Here's the not-too-bad results.
