SP switcher at Port Costa 1960

Back when Port Costa was a neat place to hang out and watch the trains on SP's mainline roll through town  The SP had a great little area with an engine house and turntable.

Interesting to see that the water tank was pretty much buried back in the trees. Looks like railroad supplies were delivered by rail to the warehouse type structures. Considering the winding roads to get to Port Costa that is not surprising. I never got to see those structures as all were long gone by my time with the SP.
