This is a wonderful article and shows the true work of what the railroads and in particular the PRR did to ensure we have the freedom we enjoy today.  My thanks to the men and women who worked for this great railroad and who made a significant role in the US victory.

I only wish the government would have recognized the role more and would have helped the railroads in their re-build effort after the war.  

This is an excellent account of the worth of American railroads.
