Date: 05/04/15 18:39 Re: Maroon Monday (+ some red) Author: Rathole Rock Island's 4th Street Yard in Memphis was located a half mile or so east of Central Station - it was a stub end yard. Here's a photo in happier days. 4th Street bordered it on the west side, and Calhoun (now G.E. Patterson Ave) was at the north end. A large church occupies a big portion of the former property now.
