Snowbirds in the snow

One of the Lehigh Valley's many paint schemes was this one nicknamed "snowbird". Here Alco C628 #638 is leading a solid set of units in the same scheme at Tunnel, PA back in January of 1971.

Always love to see the Alcos - The Valleys were awesome in all those varied schemes.

This is not "Tunnel, Pa." This train is westbound approaching White Haven Tunnel, near (oddly enough) White Haven, Pa. Beautiful shot!
