My Contribution to Grand Trunk Tuesday

1. GTW 4920, 9023, and 4909 (2 GP9s and a F3A) at 50th and Kedzie, Elsdon Yard, Chicago, on December 31, 1964.

2. On a run through on the BN were GTW SD40 5928 and GP40 6404 at Belmont Ave., Downers Grove, Illinois on June 10, 1991.

Thanks Marty.  Note the contraption below the GP's coupler...air hose holder?  In 1964, perhaps the engine was set up for passenger service?

I can't quite see how it would work, but there do seem to be about four hoses running over to it.

I am thinking it is a protective cover for the brass steam line connector.You cans see steam leaking.
Those look like two passenger geeps, I wonder if they are lined up for a passenger extra.
