Nostalgia & History > Some CGW Post Merger from the Lens Of Bill KubaDate: 05/28/15 04:41 Some CGW Post Merger from the Lens Of Bill Kuba Author: MILW86A Thanks to the good folks again at the Iowa Chapter NRHS I scanned some Bill Kuba slides of some CGW Motors in action after the CNW Merger of 1968.
1. A Cow/Calf works the east end of Beverly Yard in Cedar Rapids in August 1968. Notice the CNW Alco in the back and the weed covered main. 2. This S1, Number 15, was assigned to Cedar Falls for a few years, and is shown here October 26 1969. 3. CNW 807 North leads a GP35 and two Alcos into Mason City on a freight off the MSTL from Marshalltown on October 17, 1970. I do have more I will post later but for now, please enjoy. Thank you.
