Yes, large consist.  One must remember that 1965 was before ridership fell off a cliff.....Christmas/summer consists would be swollwn all around the country, but, especially "out west", the province of the long distance limiteds.....and the CB&Q's ridership held up longer/later than most other railroads.  Love your posts Marty, the earlier the better, such as this nice 1965 view.  AA

Overnight, every night Denver to Chicago.  I can still remember the radio ads on KOA Denver.

Now you know why I live in a cave under a glacier.

The airline strike was 1966. The DZ was a popular train and ran long in summer. I saw the WB DZ many times on those warm, hunid summer evenings in Iowa.
