Embargoed effective June 6, 1982 for an expected one month repair.  Service never resumed.  Formally abandoned service in 1984.  MP subsidiary which switched the carferry on the Natchez, MS side was the MoP's only operation in Mississippi, a bit of MoPac trivia.  Major customer was a sawmill.  This operation was the last river railroad carferry on the combined Mississippi and Missouri River system.
