Wow I love this photo I grew up in Pennsylvania and lived across the street from a former PRR line that was just a little better than this, with an SW-1
that would trundle by several times a week. 

Boy I miss that type of railroading.

The Perry Cutoff was on its way out by the mid-1960s... either an early casualty of rationalization or an example of irrational exuberance to begin with, depending on how you look at it. Today's satellite view shows nothing remaining at Drifton except the ex-SAL Chattahoochee-Jacksonville.
