Bill Deaver Tehachapi, CA Date: 08/26/15 22:59 Re: MILW #30, a 1947 Dodge Author: Auburn_Ed Paid $25.00 for my 1949 DeSoto. Used it in auto shop in high school. The back seat was so big, you could host a square dance back there! It was NOT considered a cool car back then.

Cheers, Jack Date: 08/27/15 09:42 Re: MILW #30, a 1947 Dodge Author: EMDSW-1 Looks like some sort of "derail skid" on the front but not on back...she must not have been all that "trackworthy"!
Dick Samuels Date: 08/27/15 11:45 Re: MILW #30, a 1947 Dodge Author: 41 That may be a device to take off the track and onto roadway at a crossing. I see a hydraulic pump mounted on the front.
Date: 08/27/15 12:45 Re: MILW #30, a 1947 Dodge Author: MartyBernard I bet that hydraulic pump on the front lowers that rerailer bar. What do you think?
Date: 08/27/15 20:09 Re: MILW #30, a 1947 Dodge Author: NebraskaZephyr That beauty, her paint now badly faded and oxidized, has been sold and moved to Illinois Railway Museum, where the track crew has "adopted" it. Hopefully she will again ride the rails soon.
