Nostalgia & History > 2 more SJVRDate: 08/27/15 13:16 2 more SJVR Author: dlbowen 2 from November 1993
1. An Exeter photographer had a contract with Mount Whitney High School in nearby Visalia; he persuaded the SJVR to use engine 2043 as prop for the cheer leaders photo 2. SJVR GP28 1825 with a patch crew brings the returning "Night Hauler" at Venice Hill. A little herbicide would do wonders to the right of way. Of course to me 1950 doesn't seem that long ago. My body tells me it is.

It reminds me of my senior years in high school, trying to convince the yearbook staff to have our senior class picture taken on an SP SW1500 at the Bud plant in Van Nuys. Got about half the class to vote for it, but someone higher up stepped in with another idea on campus.
