More for GG1 Season
Author: MartyBernard

These three photos were taken June 8, 2012 at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania.

1. Old Rivets.  Has she been moved inside out of the weather?

2. Highly (overly ? ) polished 4935 inside.

Enjoy,
Marty Bernard

Gotta love those GG-1s! Thanx Marty! I as wondering... Why can't they run any of the GG-1s?.. Is it an electic overhead problem (voltage change etc.), or are they gutted and stuffed? They rebuild other locomotives! Why not these? Just curious.

Some on T.O. may not know that #4935 also known as "Blackjack" a the road number digits add to "21"

Old Rivets (#4800) is still outside. Old Rivets is the only GG-1 with a riveted body. All other GG-1's had welded bodies.

GG-1's at museums have had their transformers removed due to PCB's. Not likely to ever see one operate again.

That E44 next to the GG1 looks really sharp too!  Thanks for the excellent and interesting photos.
