At the time the attached photos were taken, Oct 23 1982, CR had a local based out of this location. The photos show the general area, the depot, and the assigned engine and caboose.

In August 1971, my wife and I made a train trip that included an Indianapolis-Cincinnati round trip on the Amtrak James Whitcomb Riley. The eastbound trip was in the dark; the westbound trip was in the daylight. I remember the line as being very scenic. ALLEN |
