Nostalgia & History > 3 Orrville coaches sold to Fla RR MuseumDate: 10/04/15 20:30 3 Orrville coaches sold to Fla RR Museum Author: Panamerican99 Three stainless steel coaches arrived at the Florida RR Museum on Friday and were off-loaded to the museum's rails on Saturday morning.
Two of the cars hold Florida historical significance, one is an ex-Seaboard Air Line car built for the original Silver Meteor in 1939 and the other is an ex-ACL car built for the Champion. The third car is an ex-Santa Fe coach. All were built by Budd. It's one thing to spend the money and resources in your home shop vs paying someone else to do the work.
