A Big Time New Haven Freight in Danbury, Conn., 1968
Author: MartyBernard

I've only been to Danbury a few times and never saw a freight train.  But Roger Puta caught this on the Maybrook freight line on July 28, 1968. Even though it was a dull July day, the slide came back well.  Too bad we are limited to 1000 pixels wide.  That's NH 2520, a U25B.

Enjoy Roger's catch,
Marty Bernard

The New Haven could put some interesting consists together, back in those days.  Witness two U25B's a C425 and an RS3.

You could have edited out that newspaper, and no purist would ever have noticed!

Is it me, or was the weather crappier back then?

Just west of Danbury under the then-new State Route 7 overpass, in 1964--a westbound on the Maybrook line.....

One RR I wish I had taken the time to see, and photograph, got there too late to see the real Mc Coy.
