An afternoon at the Curve

Conrail action going around the engineering marvel known as Horseshoe Curve located near Altoona, Pennsylvania.  Video was shot in one afternoon in August, 1998 prior to the split between CSX and Norfolk Southern.

Boy that's some great video!  Love all that Conrail blue, the EMDs, and friendly crews.  Was there some event going on or just a lot of people out at the park?

That was great!  I like how the gaps in the stack train allowed you to catch the Westbound power on the coal train.

I really enjoyed watching all the kids and grownups reacting with excitement with each train
passing. 

That is priceless
