SP ran a Superbowl Special in 1986 to New Orleans (Bears over Pats), seen here at Aromas, CA and Watsonville, CA changing crews. Two very clean kodachrome SDP45's late in the afternoon, January 1986.

Hard to believe it was 30 years ago!

Hope to get today's BNSF version of this, but it will not be running South of San Jose this time, of course. Update:Todays Special

Great work, Jim! Those colors are rich and beautiful, and you caught some perfect light. Now you have to decide which Super Bowl train is your favorite!

Hi Stan, that was Superbowl XVIII  (18).  Thanks for posting the great shot, though, to compliment the great shots of the Superbowl XX special.
