These are so good Marty; a "live" example of one of the PC era Day Express is documented in Revelation Video's Penn Central(last I checked still VHS only)  Basically cab video with sound between Williamsport and Buffalo,
the crew chatter is classic; ripping on the decrepit E7(with obligatory plywood patch on the carbody side) they've drawn, the sorry state of PC's maintenance with passengers having no hot water etc..
The highlight though is the reverse move into Buffalo Union Station, hearing the cab signal whistles, seeing the little position light indicators. Made me a Pennsy and PC fan for ever.
These photos make me think Roger was nearby riding the next train.

Wow. Thanks much for posting that. The absolute nadir of eastern passenger railroading. Hard to believe that train made it to A-day in 1971. 

Nice shots! Old Penn Central RR Harrisburg, PA based passenger train and engine crews worked to and from Buffalo, NY.
 

Hope there are more in store, Marty. You really needed to get there to use this. Thanks for posting.

Even now, some of that route is very rural. But the Marcellus basin has given hope to a lot of people.

18 months since PC was created, probably fewer since 4274 had PC markings painted on, and the nose logo already looks ragged.
