Nostalgia & History > The Buffalo Day ExpressDate: 02/07/16 12:57 The Buffalo Day Express Author: MartyBernard Roger Puta rode Penn Central Train 575, The Buffalo Day Express on July 20, 1969. Here are three of his photos.
1. This shot was taken at Port Allegany, PA. That's PC E8A 4274. 2. Williamsport, PA 3. Central Terminal in Buffalo, NY Enjoy, Marty Bernard Edited 2 time(s). Last edit at 02/07/16 13:03 by MartyBernard. Date: 02/07/16 13:36 Re: The Buffalo Day Express Author: dan wow, last call for rail

the crew chatter is classic; ripping on the decrepit E7(with obligatory plywood patch on the carbody side) they've drawn, the sorry state of PC's maintenance with passengers having no hot water etc.. The highlight though is the reverse move into Buffalo Union Station, hearing the cab signal whistles, seeing the little position light indicators. Made me a Pennsy and PC fan for ever. These photos make me think Roger was nearby riding the next train. Date: 02/07/16 23:58 Re: The Buffalo Day Express Author: railwaybaron Walthers new train of the year!
