Nostalgia & History > GE & Caboose At Walong (Tehachapi Loop)Date: 02/10/16 08:37 GE & Caboose At Walong (Tehachapi Loop) Author: HardYellow This was taken Jan. 23, 1975, with an old Rolli 3.5, as the westbound was leaving the siding Walong. I actually had this framed, along with the Mark Dennis Mojave Carl's Jr. photo. Took it out and scanned it for our own "Cabhop" on the blog. I understand nowadays, this area is off limits to railfans. Looks like a GE, SD-39, GE and a SD-9. In the distance, you can see the water tank at Woodford.

Perfect timing and a perfectly > executed shot! My teenage daughter took a photography class in college. At the time, she was using a 35mm Canon AT-1. I asked her if she wanted my Rolli 2.8. When I showed her the camera, "I don't want that old BOX CAMERA." A few weeks later her teacher said his favorite camera was the same Rolli. She changed her mind and took the box camera. KIDS!
