Did most of the Suntan Specials use 4300s or 4400s to Watsonville Junction, then switch to two Consolidations?  I think it was 1957 that steam last went beyond Watsonville Junction, but that was an excursion.  I remember watching the Suntan Specials (1954-1959) coming home to San Fran on Sunday nights.....often with several broken coach windows from the drunks on board.

The DH  was in 1946,and in 48 I guess the ST got shorter they used
only one engine like the photo which I rode back to SF,but at
Watsonville they put a 4300 on.
