Deep sigh, it isn't just the picture or the power, it's the difference in the neighborhood! Don't know
why it evokes the memory but it's like a 1950 V&T shot of the Minden train crossing the meadow at
the South end of Reno, some grass, a tree and wide open spaces. Love the shot, just a bit painful
that so much as changed and hardly for the better.

Old DRG&W RR train crews on the Royal Gorge above, were based out of Denver and worked between Denver and Salida. Denver based engine crews worked between Denver and Pueblo.
