Over on the Steam Railroading tab I posted some photos of work going on inside the maintenance facility at LSRM a couple of weeks ago.  Meantime outside this little gem was handling the day's trains.

The Lake Superior Railroad Museum has one of the best collections (and best maintained) collections of locomotives and passengers cars in the US.

Notice that the NW5 has the "as delivered" extended Roman lettering as opposed to the block sans serif, I'm
not sure about this, lettering that came in the early 1950's we are much more familiar with.  Thanks for posting.
