here are a few scenes from that trip, a train showed up just about every 10 minutes or less at any given location around Bill back then however there seemed to be much more in presence from the UP than te BNSF that time You must be a registered subscriber to watch videos. Given your location just south of Bill in the first clip and I'm assuming in the second clip also although I couldn't positively id the spot, you would see more UP than BNSF trains. At this time, UP had managed to achieve parity with the BNSF, if not a slight edge. However, all UP trains ran south out of the main mining area through Bill to Joyce and North Platte. BNSF ran the majority of their trains north to Donkey Creek then east over Crawford Hill to Alliance. This situation has changed as BNSF now has the advantage in coal country. At least it seemed that way when I was out there last fall. It was also nice to see the SD9043MACs on the UP trains. Engineers hated these engines for their lack of reliability and they were about to be pulled from coal service by the UP. Other than the ones UP sold to NS, they're all in storage.
