Frank I wonder if SP ever ran Suntan Specials via Los Gatos?  I can't remember when the line was closed - HogheadEd?  I did work with a couple conductors that worked over to Santa Cruz out of San Jose, I think in the late 30's.

Suntan Specials ran over the Coast Range via Los Gatos to Santa Cruz until 1940, when storms damaged the route and the SP chose to abandon the route from Los Gatos to Olympia.
