Here's the time table for 1975. #200 is on train #704, the Saturday and Sunday BLUE RIDGE from Cumberland, MD to Washington, DC. B&OB Date: 06/27/16 06:57 Re: The Three Faces of Amtrak 200.. Author: bandob Here's the time table for 1991. #200 is on Train #29, THE CAPITOL LIMITED, still in Washington just about to pass under New Hampshire Avenue. The Fort Totten METRO Station is in the distance.
I've included the page showing equipment, with the Dome. B&OB Date: 06/27/16 06:58 Re: The Three Faces of Amtrak 200.. Author: bandob Date: 06/27/16 09:52 Re: The Three Faces of Amtrak 200.. Author: ClubCar Nice Photos, thanks for sharing them. I do believe that the E unit #200 was originally a B&O unit, correct?
John Date: 06/27/16 12:25 Re: The Three Faces of Amtrak 200.. Author: bandob John, I think #200 was formerly B&O #1439. It would be retired in July, 1975. It was nearing the end of its life when I took the photo in February, 1975. Looking closly, I think I can see the outline of the B&O Capitol dome through the red paint.

The number was changed to 1439 as part of the railroad's renumbering scheme later on (in 1957?). chakk |
