A Cleveland Electric GP38-2 sits in the engine facility area of Contrail's Collin=smallwood Yard on a very cold and snowy day.  Cleveland, Ohio.

Their fleet of 9 GP38-2s later were leased by the UP and now are in the GMTX lease fleet. CEIX 100 pictured in this post became GMTX 2162.

I always liked these, bringing some AT&SF-like color into the PC's otherwise black Western Region power wise, though that lettering was purely weird private owner. Still would be fun to model.

I had never heard of these units before I went to college in Cleveland in 1991, and the first glimpse I caught of them from my dorm room window at CWRU was puzzling to say the least.  A few subsequent sighting confirmed that I wasn't seeing former warbonnets, and eventually the local fans I met filled me in on what they really were.
