Nice pics! This is a Turboliner though. Turbotrain was the dome power car type by United Aircraft.
Loved these Turboliner sets though. Huge windows were a relief from Amfleet 1 of the era.

Is the infalible source wrong? See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turbotrain

Vistadomescott, looks like some editing of Wikipedia is needed.  (-:

I rode SNCF Turbo from Paris to Bologne. I didn't know it was a turbo until it fired up with a load whine until it went up in frequency beyond human range.
Similar to the sound of jets spooling up at LAX on a foggy morning, when I lived in Redondo Beach, CA.
That was 1988. Caught Hovercraft to UK.

Well, yes and no.  In the first line of that Wikipedia page, it says that for ANF and Rohr Turbotrains used in the US to see the Turboliner page.  Amtrak called them Turboliners.  The ones used in the Midwest were French-built and shipped here.  The ones used in New York State were built under license by Rohr in Chula Vista, CA, and shipped to Albany/Rensselaer for use.  The nickname for Amtrak's Turboliner maintenance facility there was Turbotown.
