Nostalgia & History > A Pair of Brownsville BeautiesDate: 07/27/16 11:28 A Pair of Brownsville Beauties Author: refarkas As of September 1968, the Monongahela had not relettered any of their ex-NYC Sharks. NYC 1213 was never relettered for the Monongahela, but 1210 was and wore her lettering proudly. These were in the engine facility in Brownsville, Pennsylvania.

It was taken in Indianapolis in 1960, and apparently the numbering system was changed between then and your shot in '68.

KG Date: 07/28/16 13:00 Re: A Pair of Brownsville Beauties Author: Gateway97 The renumbering was mid-60's in anticipation of the PC merger. I think PRR had GP9B's that conflicted with original NYC RF-16 number series. The GP9B's kept their numbers IIRC.
