Way Car Wednesday
Author: lamta_jay

Here are a couple of Way Cars that were just
sitting around and I found them interesting.

First in Linnton, Oregon back in 2003. Nicely painted
Cupala SP Caboose.

Second  sitting next to the old station in Hoquiam, Wash,
last year, 10-03-2015. Obviously a UP car !

I have no other info on either cab

Thanks for looking

Jay

The SP Caboose:
Linnton, Oregon?  Like the suburb of Portland?
That might be the one George Lavacott owns (or owned).  It was in Independence, OR The last time I saw it.

UP green cab would have been retired from MOW service.

Nice looking cars.  Nice to see them being saved rather than scrapped.  I would agree the UP one was from MofW service in Kenefick Green.

Yes, it's owned by George 'the Silent Partner' and two others who are less silent, one of them being me.  It resided at Linnton for a while before moving to Independence.  Here it is on the SP at Clackamas, Sept 8, 1992.
